Our local guide will meet you at the airport, holding a welcome sign on which your name is written. Then the guide and driver will transfer you to the hotel in the city center and help you with the check-in procedure. On the way from the airport to the hotel, the guide will provide you some information on Hanoi, the capital city of Vietnam. The rest of the day remains free for your leisure.
In the evening, welcome drink will be serviced at your hotel. You will meet tour leader and other accompanies in your trip.

Meet and greet at your hotel at 8.00am. Today we discover Hanoi, Vietnam's gracious capital. Hanoi has been the political and historical centre of Vietnam for almost 1000 years and has a wealth of sights to explore. Heavily influenced by French colonial architecture, Hanoi is both historically beautiful and a vibrant capital city sure to entice you. We begin our Hanoi experience at the Old Quarter, cycling along beautiful tree-lined boulevards until we get to Ba Dinh Square, site of the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and where Ho Chi Minh first declared independence from French rule in 1945. Ho Chi Minh is without question one of the great figures of twentieth century history and this morning we'll take time to visit the 'Ho Chi Minh Quarter' for a look at the life of the father of modern Vietnam. We visit the humble house on stilts from which 'Uncle Ho', as he is affectionately known, ruled Vietnam until his death in 1969. We'll also view the Presidential Palace and One Pillar Pagoda and continue our tour by visiting Hanoi's first university - the Temple of Literature - dating back to 1070. This historical centre of learning is dedicated to Confucian worship.
Lunch will be served at KOTO restaurant. It’s a great place for meals and drinks closed by Temple of Literature. KOTO means Know One Teach One operating as a hospitality training school for disadvantaged young people.
After lunch, we drive to the outskirts of town to visit the excellent Ethnology Museum. Here you will learn more about the diverse ethnic minorities. Our last stop for the day is the infamous 'Hanoi Hilton' - Hanoi's former central prison made famous first for the incarceration of the leaders of Vietnam's national liberation movement and later US Air force pilots shot down over North Vietnamese airspace. The site of the prison was recently developed, however one wing has been retained as a museum.
Day 3 title: Halong Bay full day

A scenic 3-hour drive from Ha Noi brings you to the world heritage listed is the world heritage natural wonder of Ha Long Bay, where you cruise amongst thousands of limestone islets and grottoes.
Meet and greet at your hotel at 7.00am. Start on the journey east (approximately 170km or 4 hours) to Hon Gai, the gateway to Ha Long Bay. En route enjoy the captivating rural scenery and see fields of busy workers farming their rice fields using traditional methods of cultivation. You will have 4 hours aboard your boat cruising around this magnificent bay. Considered Vietnam’s greatest natural wonder, Ha Long Bay boasts over 3,000 islands that rise out of the sea to provide a spectacular natural environment - you will also have the opportunity to stop at one of the many grottoes. During the summer months you may wish to have a swim in the clean, warm waters of the bay. Return to your hotel.
Day 4 title: Flight from Hanoi to Da Nang, Hoi An walking tour

Colourful Hoi An is a former trading port, retaining a charming mix of architectural styles, and is undoubtedly the gem of Central Vietnam. Today the World Heritage listed ancient town has some of the country’s best dining and shopping. Wander the lanes to explore the distinctive architecture, tailor shops and quaint galleries. There is a breathtaking array of eateries, from street carts to French-style cafes and riverfront seafood restaurants.
After lunch, start on walking tour through the quite streets of enchanting Hoi An. The narrow lanes are ideal for a walking tour to visit the old merchants’ house with influences from Chinese, Japanese and Vietnamese architecture, then visit the Hoi An Museum, the Assembly Hall of the Chaozhou Chinese Congregation with outstanding wood carvings and the 400-year-old Japanese Covered Bridge. Also have a look at the colorful market with stalls brimming with tropical specialties including silk, which can be turned into fashionable garments within a day. Return to your hotel.

Today, learn about the lives of the local fisherman on this family-run, interactive tour. Start on a transfer from your hotel to the jetty then board your private boat for a cruise through ‘Water Coconut Palm Canal’ - a tranquil area little visited by tourists. Learn about the history of the area and the lives of the local fisherman through a fun, hands-on experience. Learn local fishing techniques and how to navigate a basket boat through the narrow waterways and then enjoy a sumptuous seafood lunch on board. This family-run tour offers local interaction and gives you a real insight into Vietnamese life.
In the evening, start on a short moving to Hai Scout Café (meeting point) at 98 Nguyen Thai Hoc street where you will be welcome by the Chef. Your chef will introduce you to the local ingredients, take you through the preparation, and explain the Hoi An style of cooking. Then it is your turn to chop, grate, crush, slice, roll and cook the ingredients into a delicious meal. Enjoy some of your creations for dinner. Return to your hotel.
Day 6 title: Hoi An to Hue, Marble Mountain, dragon boat, Thien Mu Pagoda

This morning drive from Hoi An to Hue, the former imperial capital of Vietnam, via lush rice fields and pretty coastal views. On the way we visit Marble Mountain then drive over the famous Hai Van Pass (Pass of Ocean Clouds). Stop at Lang Co Beach, a lovely stretch of beach curving outwards between a clear blue lagoon and the sea. Arrive Hue in late afternoon, check in your hotel.
Late afternoon travel by dragon boat along the Perfume River to the much-revered Thien Mu Pagoda, Hue’s oldest and most beautiful. Return to your hotel.
Day 7 title: Citadel and Tumbs, flight from Hue to Ho Chi Minh

On this one day tour explore the home of the Emperors citadel and the imperial tombs and see why this city has been an inspiration to Vietnam's most respected poets.
Meet and greet at your hotel at 8.00am. Start on a visit the impressive home of the Nguyen Dynasty emperors - the Citadel. Much of the Citadel was destroyed during the Tet Offensive in 1968 but is gradually being restored. From here take a cyclo through dai noi ‘Old City’ to Tinh Tam Lake where the Emperors used to come to relax. Also visit the tomb of the fourth emperor of the Nguyen Dynasty, Tu Duc and the second last emperor, Khai Dinh.
Transfer to Hue airport for your flight from Hue to Ho Chi Minh.

Ho Chi Minh City is Vietnam's commercial capital and a city of extraordinary energy. Nowhere is Vietnam's rush to modernize more visible. Despite its rush to modernity, Saigon, as it is still known, is a friendly and welcoming place with many reminders of its turbulent past and a palpable momentum towards the future.
Meet and greet at your hotel at 8.00am. This morning begin a walking tour of Saigon's famous and historic city landmarks. The tour will take you through the heart of the city along Dong Khoi Street (formerly Rue Catinat), past the Rex Hotel, Ho Chi Minh Square, Municipal Theatreand Notre Dame Cathedral. Following a tour of the Reunification Palace (formerly the Presidential Palace) then make a short visit to Long Beach Pearl and Ben Thanh Market, stop for lunch at a 'pho' restaurant for a delicious bowl of the noodle soup that Vietnam is famous for. We then travel to the Cu Chi tunnels located in an area known during the Vietnam War as the 'Iron Triangle' on account of the strength of its communist insurgency. The Cu Chi tunnel network was established as a means of waging guerrilla war against superior French and later American fire power. The network stretches over 250km and extends to three levels underground providing a remarkable insight into the method and determination of communist forces during the Vietnam War. Return to your hotel.
Day 9 title: Mekong full day to Cai Be and Vinh Long - farewell dinner

Today you have a chance to experience the famous floating market of Vietnam. Cai Be is one of the three largest floating markets in the Mekong Delta. We will get up early this morning. After breakfast, we head to Cai Be. You will take a boat to start your tour. On both sides, you will see many local people selling all kinds of fresh fruits, vegetables and other items from their barges. This is a very traditional way for them to do business. It is also a good opportunity for you to get close to the local people's life. You will also visit the local orchards and workshops. Lunch is served with delicious food at a local restaurant. After lunch, we will travel further into the countryside via traditional rowboat and see peasants planting fruits and vegetables in their farmland. At about 15:00, we arrive at Vinh Long. After walking through the Vinh Long market, you will get to the dock, where our driver is waiting to transfer you back to Ho Chi Minh city.
This evening is the last night of your trip. Join a farewell dinner to say goodbye to your tour leader and other accompanies on your trip.
