Welcome to Hanoi!
Note: Please print “Visa on arrival approval letter” (provided by TiiM) and prepare 25 USD cash and a passport photo if you are planning on getting Vietnam visa on arrival.
Our local guide will meet you at the airport, holding a welcome sign on which your name is written. Then the guide and driver will transfer you to the hotel in the city center and help you with the check-in procedure. On the way from the airport to the hotel, the guide will provide you some information on Hanoi, the capital city of Vietnam. The rest of the day remains free for your leisure.

In late afternoon, start street food walking tour with an insight into traditional Vietnamese food at different eateries. First stop is near the Cathedral to savour cakes called “Pillow Cake” duo to the same Pillow shape. Then taste one of the most famous Vietnamese foods isChicken Noodle Soup at the specialized chicken soup restaurant. The next stop is Dong Xuan market. If it still opens (7:00 a.m-6:00 p.m), we can go into to watch hundreds of stall with various commodity, we can easily buy them as a souvenir. Another tourist attraction to visit isQuan Chuong Gate, an architectural work and a cultural, historical and geographical vestige of Hanoi. This gate has been one of the twenty-one city gates of Hanoi since 1749. We’ll reach to the traditional house at 87 Ma May street is typical of the traditional architecture in the Old Quarter. It was recognized as Vietnamese National Heritage in 2004. When we leave the old house, we continue to enjoy food. One of the traditional Vietnamese Food you can’t miss isSpring rolls. The next dish we taste is Vietnamese crepes stuffed with shrimp, bean sprouts and served with loads of crunchy garnishes. Now, it’s time for drinks. Enjoy local beer (draught beer) with Potato chips at the “international” corner Ta Hien where each night, hundreds of travellers and a large number of locals flock here to hang out. Speicially, all seats just need small plastic stools, drink beer and observe relaxly the local daily life follow the characteristic way at the Old Quarter. The guide will then take you to one of Hanoi’s best kept secrets, a dark narrow alley leading to the cafe. It may be difficult to find for visitors, but it is well worth the effort. It makes you feel like mystery. You’ll be so surprised until you savour the Egg-Coffee which is absolutely delicious and has the unique taste among Vietnamese coffee. Hoan Kiem lake is a usual site to finish the tour. Then, you can either continue exploring on your own, take a taxi or ask the guide’s assistance for directions to get back the hotel and suggestions anything.
Day 2 title: Hanoi city tour full day

Day 2 description: Meet and greet at your hotel at 8.00am. Start on cyclo tour to experience at the Old Quarter, along beautiful tree-lined boulevards until we get to Ba Dinh Square, site of the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and where Ho Chi Minh first declared independence from French rule in 1945. Visit the humble house on stilts. Continue on to the intriguing Ho Chi Minh Museum, an amazingly surreal exhibition of the life of Ho Chi Minh. We’ll also view the Presidential Palaceand One Pillar Pagoda. After stopping for lunch we continue our tour by visiting Ha Noi first university - the Temple of Literature - dating back to 1070. Our next stop for the day is the infamous ‘Ha Noi Hilton’ - Ha Noi former central prison made famous first for the incarceration of the leaders of Vietnam’s national liberation movement and later US Air force pilots shot down over North Vietnamese airspace. Visit Ngoc Son Temple, peaceful West Lake, the sedate Tran Quoc Pagoda and History Museum (or Ethnology Museum). Finish your day with a relaxing walk around Ha Noi famous Hoan Kiem Lake. Return to your hotel at about 5.00pm.
Day 3 title: Hanoi to Halong Bay for overnight cruise

Day 3 description:
Meet and greet at your hotel at 7.00am for the journey east (approximately 170km or 4 hours) to Hon Gai, the gateway to amazing Halong Bay. Considered Vietnam's greatest natural wonder, Halong Bay boasts over 3,000 islands that rise out of the sea to provide a spectacular natural environment. En route enjoy the captivating rural scenery and see fields of busy workers farming their rice fields using traditional methods of cultivation. At 11:30am, you will board your luxurious junk and set sail through the bay whilst lunch is served. Spend the afternoon cruising the bay with stops to explore fascinating caves, a floating fishing village and to enjoy a swim in the warmer months. Indulge in sunset cocktails on deck before a scrumptious buffet dinner is served.

Day 4 title: Halong Bay to Hanoi
Day 4 meals:
Day 4 overnight: Apricot Hotel - Sketch Room
Day 4 description: Start the day with a Tai Chi class on the sundeck or a traditional massage. Visit an island to enjoy panorama view of Ha Long Bay, relax and swim at the beach. Pass by a fishing village. After exploring a lofty grotto hidden beneath towering cliffs, we sail back to port. Disembark and travel back to Hanoi.
Day 5 title: Departure Hanoi

Have breakfast and relax until your departure time.
You will be picked up to transfer to Hanoi airport for your onwards journey.
