Shorten the processing time for work permits

The time for processing the procedures for issuing a work permit is only 05 working days, the Department of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs will return the result to the applicant while the previous time limit is 07 days.

Exemption from Work Permits for foreigners marrying Vietnamese people

From January 1, 2021, a foreigner who marries a Vietnamese and lives in the territory of Vietnam will not need to apply for a work permit, nor will it need to apply for a certificate of exemption from a work permit as regulated. The old regulation takes effect from February 15, 2021.

New quarantine regulations for arrivals in Vietnam

Vietnam provides auto extension of stay to 31 Aug

Vietnam currently provides an automatic extension of temporary stay through August 31, 2020, for foreigners who entered Vietnam with a visa exemption certificate, e-visa, or tourist visa on or after March 1, 2020, and intend to depart Vietnam during the period of extension (by August 31, 2020).

Vietnam to grant e-visa to the citizens of 80 countries from July 1st
