Day 1 - Saigon to Can Tho Homestay

This 2-day tour is a great choice for any traveler who gets bore to stay in the Can Tho crowded town and wants to relax in the fresh air and peaceful environment. Besides, explore the unique river life at floating markets or cycling through villages to have more understanding of the Mekong Delta daily life along the cycling roads. Taste the typical cuisine of Mekong Delta and enjoy the fresh seasonal fruit.
Meet and greet at your hotel at 8.00am. This morning travel south into the heart of the Mekong Delta. En route, visit a unique Cao Dai Temple and pass farmers tending their fields and drying their produce on the sides of the road. Head to Can Tho. Check in your homestay and take a short rest to be ready for the afternoon trip.
This afternoon, taking bicycles for a trip around the area. Cycling on the country roads along the riverside for exploring may kinds of fruits and plants with their great uses. Furthermore, it is along the riverside with fresh air and cool environment which will bring you a peaceful feeling of local people here. Stop along the way for having Vietnamese cup of coffee at a local coffee shop, catching up typical images of locals growing trees, wrapping fruit, washing clothes. You may also catch up with simple but lovely images of students come home from school on a bicycle on foot or bicycles.
Get back to the homestay, have a good rest then join the cooking activity with a local family to learn how to cook typical food of Mekong then enjoy what you have just cooked.
Day 2 - Phong Dien Floating Market and return to Saigon

Get up at 5:00 am to have Vietnamese hot coffee, tea, and light breakfast at homestay then you depart for visiting Phong Dien floating market on the big boat bypass through all small rivers to experience the early morning life of Mekong Delta people. Arrive Phong Dien floating market, we will move on a small wooden boat for your real experience the local life of people here who still get used to adding boats as part of their life. A very different authentic sight will come to your view with local rowing and motorized boats gathering here for trading local agricultural products. The floating market is very small but peaceful which will give you another feeling compared to that in the big floating market. Enjoy the beautiful sunrise if it is in good weather. Weave into the floating market to explore the way local people there exchange the product right on their boats. After having breakfast, come back to the boat and head to small, long and narrow canals to see the daily activities of people living around there. Take a short walk around the countryside to enjoy the peaceful environment there.
After around 10-minute walk, we stop to visit the Cacao garden where you will get to know how to make fresh chocolate and wine from cacao fruit in an organic system. You also can have a chance to taste one of the products here such as cacao milk, cacao wine or chocolate bar. You then transport to visit the Binh Thuy Ancient House, one of the attractions in town you should never miss. Can Tho, Binh Thuy ancient house which was built in 1807 has been owned by Duong family. Unique architectural in the harmonious combination between East and West has taken Binh Thuy ancient house to become one of the must-see tourist attractions in Can Tho. The main house is a wonderful rendezvous for tourists who prefer to explore the unique architecture.
Take a short walk under green shades of fruit trees and on the rural paths to visit the fruits orchards to taste some delicious one, freshly picked from the tree and learn more about the agriculture in Mekong Delta.
Enjoy a delicious Southern lunch prepared by the locals. You can also learn how to make traditional cakes such as Vietnamese pancakes, baby pancakes, etc., and try those that are made by yourself. Your trip ends in Can Tho city at around 1:00. Return to Saigon and arrive Saigon by late afternoon. End the trip.
