Official Dispatch No. 1265/BYT-DP dated March 15, 2022 of the Ministry of Health regarding the prevention and control of COVID-19 pandemic for people entering Vietnam.

Requirements on epidemic prevention and control for people on entry:

For people entering Vietnam by international airport: Must have a negative test result for SARS-CoV-2 (except for children under 2 years old) before departure within 72 hours using RT-PCR/RT-LAMP or within 24 hours by quick test method and certified by the competent authority of the country performing the test.

For people entering by other routes (land, waterway, railway): Apply the same test as entering by air.

In case there is no negative test result for SARS-CoV-2 as specified above, a SARS-CoV-2 test must be performed by RT-PCR/RT-LAMP or by quick test within the first 24 hours since entry.

If the test results are negative, they are allowed to leave the accommodation and take preventive measures against the epidemic according to regulations.

If the test result is positive, it must be reported immediately to the local health authority for instructions on timely handling.

Children under 2 years old: Not required to be tested for SARS-CoV-2, are allowed to enter and participate in activities outside their accommodation with parents and relatives.

People on entry must make a medical declaration before entering and use the medical declaration application (PC-COVID) during their stay in Vietnam according to regulations.
