-- Vietnam has reported zero COVID-19 cases over the past 36 hours, according to the Ministry of Health. The tally remains at 1,046 cases, with 755 recoveries and 35 deaths.

 

-- Forty-one people have been sent to quarantine centers in Ba Ria-Vung Tau Province, about 100km from Ho Chi Minh City, after they had contact with a COVID-19 patient, local authorities said on Thursday. The Pasteur Institute in Ho Chi Minh City informed the Ba Ria-Vung Tau administration on Tuesday that a woman from the province had tested positive for the coronavirus upon entry into Japan. 

 

-- Weather forecasters in Vietnam say the UV index will reach harmful levels in the next three days accross the country.

 

-- Vietnam will allow Japanese experts to enter the country on September 18 to do their job at the metro line project in Ho Chi Minh City, the municipal Management Authority for Urban Railways said on Thursday, adding that they will be quarantined for 14 days to prevent COVID-19 spread in accordance with local regulations.
