Hundreds of thousands of entries for ‘Ambassadors of Reading Culture’ contest

NDO - Launched in mid-June, the ‘Ambassadors of Reading Culture’ contest has attracted hundreds of thousands of entries sent from cities and provinces across the country, according to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

The contest is one of the activities to realise the Ministry’s plan on developing reading culture in the community until 2020, with an orientation to 2030.

The event aims to promote reading culture amongst the younger generation, as well as formulate habits, methods, and reading skills for students.

The organisers also expect to seek outstanding young individuals that will inspire and spread the love of reading and reading culture in society and among young people.

An awards ceremony is scheduled to be held in Hanoi in September this year. Over 250 prizes will be presented to outstanding collectives and individuals on this occasion.
