Mui Ne recognised as national tourist site

The well-known tourist attraction of Mui Ne in the southern central province of Binh Thuan has been recognised as a national tourist site by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

The move is in line with the Mui Ne tourist destination 2030 plan approved by the Government in 2018.

Under the plan, Mui Ne National Tourist Site is located on a coastal land strip from Hoa Phu Commune in Tuy Phong District to Phu Hai Ward in Phan Thiet City. It covers about 14,760 hectares, including around 1,000 hectares for tourism development.

Nui Ne National Tourist Site is oriented to focus on eco-tourism and environmental protection. The areas of Bau Trang and Bau Sen and coastal sand dunes will be the priority for tourism development in the site.

By 2025, the site is hoped to welcome around 9 million visitors, including 1.5 million foreigners. The figure would rise to 14 million by 2030, including more than 2.5 million international visitors.

The area is expected to attract big investors and become one of the leading destinations in the Asia-Pacific by 2030.
